Rob Lewis is the CEO and founder of ROXi, a globally licensed music streaming service backed by Simon Cowell, Kylie Minogue and Robbie Williams with an extensive library of 100 million music videos, karaoke and games. Its free TV app is now available on a wide range of Smart and Pay TV platforms including Sky Q, Stream and Glass, LG, Samsung, Fire TV, Android TV and Google TV. The company has secured deals with over 90% of the US Smart and Pay TV providers with ROXi’s TV app set to launch across the US in the coming months. In this session, we’ll hear about the growth of ROXi, why the company believe the future of music streaming is on TV, and how FAST will play a crucial role in its international expansion plans. We’ll also hear about ROXi’s application of ATSC 3.0 broadcast technology which, while appearing like a normal music video channel, has the functionality to pause, skip ahead to the next music video, and even choose from a different playlist, within the broadcast channel.
