Jenn Batty is currently the Head of Content Acquisition for Samsung’s free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) service, Samsung TV Plus. Launched across Europe in 2019, Samsung TV Plus has more than 1000 channels across 16 markets in Europe across news, entertainment, sports and movies. It offers a free next generation of TV experience to help brands engage with hard-to-reach streaming audiences via a CTV platform. As part of her remit Jenn launched the first ever live sports FAST channel in partnership with DAZN on Samsung TV Plus.
Prior to Joining Samsung, Jennifer held senior roles across multiple regions including North America, Asia and Europe, always at the forefront of programming and channel Development. Prior to returning to Europe, Jenn was based in Asia as Chief Content Officer of HOOQ, one of Asia’s 1st OTT players, a joint venture between Singtel, Sony and Warner Bros. As Chief Content Officer at HOOQ (a joint venture between Singtel, Sony and Warner Bros) Jennifer lead the company’s content acquisition, programming, viewership and engagement strategies and drove original productions across their diverse markets. She has also worked across many mentoring programs in North America, Europe and Asia, sharing her experiences in media across the three continents and offering support to help develop young women in media.
