Description

Foxtel Group is now a digital-first sports and entertainment company, offering a portfolio that spans Foxtel, Fox Sports, Kayo Sports, BINGE, Hubbl and FLASH. Foxtel is also championing the importance of the wider ‘total video’ landscape through the Video Futures Collective. The company believes we are rapidly accelerating towards a digital-first TV market where buyers find their mass reach in premium streaming and then add incremental reach through linear broadcast – with digital-first TV planning the norm by the end of this decade. How does this happen? What is the process by which huge numbers of Australians stream what they previously watched over-the-air or via satellite, or watch large volumes of content that is only available via streaming? What content, products, user experiences and innovations will underpin this once-in-a-generation migration? This presentation also considers what it means for media buyers as television becomes digital-first, and how we ensure that linear broadcast – while no longer pre-eminent – is tightly integrated into the digital future.
