What are the strategies to drive BVOD growth further? Do larger content catalogues and better user experiences grow digital market share? Is there now an opportunity for broadcasters to aggregate other content owner brands in their apps, and should they make more use of FAST and short-form content – both within BVOD and more widely? This panel considers the opportunities for broadcasters to increase advertising revenues within BVOD or across their wider digital distribution (and do so without compromising the user experience). We want to know if the future of broadcaster streaming is mainly inside owned-and-operated apps. Does a platform like Freely, or the work towards DVB-I enabled service lists in leading European markets, mean more linear streaming will be viewed directly from electronic programme guides? Finally, we want to know if broadcasters should make more use of YouTube as a distribution partner.
