Ian Macrae is Director of Market Intelligence at the UK's communications regulator, Ofcom. He co-leads the Research & Intelligence team which is responsible for collecting  and reporting the evidence base on consumer and industry trends across all the sectors which Ofcom regulates. Publications include Ofcom's annual Communications Market Report, Media Nations and Online Nation. Ian has been at Ofcom since 2007 and was previously Consumer Policy Director. He has worked in the UK's media and communications sector for nearly 30 years, having previously worked for Three, Express Newspapers and Virgin Net.
