RIBA House of the Year is a prestigious annual award for the best example of a one-off house designed by an architect in the UK, celebrating excellence and innovation. The 2023 winner, Green House, designed by Hayhurst & Co, creatively reimagines a typical terraced house on an alleyway in Tottenham. And the results are extraordinary. The plant and light-filled home, modelled on the Moroccan riad with a central court at its heart, was hailed by the jury as "a true oasis within the city“ and “a truly sustainable home”, delivered on a tight budget.
