As Global Chief Executive Officer, Andrea is responsible for UM’s global vision, strategy, direction and operations, overseeing global management for UM’s clients, including American Express, Honda, Johnson & Johnson, Levi Strauss & Co., Nestlé and Sony. With more than 20 years of experience spanning business development, account management, integrated marketing, team leadership and operations, Andrea is a client- and people-first leader, focused on delivering strategic objectives for brands through purpose-driven creativity while fostering a community rooted in diversity, equity and belonging.

 

Andrea most recently served as Global President of Thrive, UM’s global Nestlé business unit, following several senior leadership roles in which she grew the agency’s business footprint while strengthening its culture. An industry pioneer, she was the first Latin American woman to reach a worldwide leadership position in the media agency industry when she took on the role of CEO of World Markets at UM parent company, IPG Mediabrands, where was responsible for 50+ offices in over 40 countries. In her next role as CEO, IPG Mediabrands Latin America, she led LATAM to record-breaking performance, making it the network’s fastest-growing, most dynamic region, winning the prestigious FOMLA Media Agency Group of the year award several years in a row.

 

Andrea has been a trailblazer since the early days of her career. She was the first woman in the industry to be named one of the 20 Young Leaders of Latin America by the International Young Leaders Foundation and was named “Agency Innovator” by The Internationalist, an award reserved for an esteemed few marketing pioneers throughout the world. Andrea was named a 2024 She Runs It “Working Mother of the Year” and a 2024 Campaign “Inspiring Women” honoree. She has been a judge at the most prestigious advertising festivals worldwide, including Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and Dubai Lynx International Festival.
