Simon began his career in 2004 at Feather Brooksbank, working on Peroni, Visit California and The UFC. He then moved to London, joining OMD UK, where he handled comms planning for clients including Citroen and Pokerstars. After a role client side at People’s Postcode Lottery and then as MD of a tech startup, Simon joined Republic of Media as Planning Director in 2012. He became Joint Managing Director in 2015, sole MD in 2019, and CEO of The Freethinking Group in 2023. Under his leadership, the agency has grown to over £100m in billings with more than 70 staff, serving clients such as bet365, Whyte and Mackay, Landsec and the Scottish Government. Simon is a Fellow of the Marketing Society.
