Each entry form requests a maximum 600-word count which is written around our four core values that each inductee will be judged upon. The entry must showcase their proven ability to disrupt, lead, show vision, and innovate.
There is no barrier to entry or discrimination based on age, time spent in the industry, or current job title. The only criteria is that they must be working within the TV media ecosystem or for a business that is driving the evolution of TV and video.
Entries can be submitted from across the globe with no maximum number on the amount of entries per company, and there is no charge to enter.
ENTRY CRITERIA
TOP 50 WCG VALUES
Any brilliant woman who is changing, influencing, and driving positive change and action across the TV ecosystem; with a focus on those working within our community which would be anyone across Pay TV, broadcasting, streaming, studios, TV tech and TV advertising (brands and agencies). The 50 WGC will reflect the diverse nature of the video distribution industry and recognise the many areas that contribute to its success.
A panel of judges will review the entries and will score to each individual entry, with the top 50 highest scores making the final cut. Each entry will be scored based on the evidence of how they have displayed disruption, innovation, vision, and leadership.
Anyone can nominate, whether that comes from current managers or industry leaders, colleagues or peers, or even self-nominations. The person nominated does not have to report into you, nor do you need to be at the same company, as long as the evidence provided backs up the nomination.
Apart from the prestige of being listed as a gamechanger, inductees will be invited to two networking events at two of our biggest TV events of the year (Connected TV World Summit and Future of TV Advertising Global), plus there will be opportunities to contribute to content on Videonet and The Media Leader.
With the industry evolving at a rapid pace, it is crucial to acknowledge and honour the women and who have directly contributed to these advancements. Whether it is thinking outside of the box, challenging the status quo, or evolving a current idea to create something unique, how has this person displayed the ability to disrupt the market or the way their team operates that resulted with a positive outcome?
How have they shown the characteristics and qualities of leadership, and how did that transform a project, department, campaign or relationship in a positive way? This is not exclusive to those who lead teams, but more a reflection how they were able to set an example for others to follow. What makes them standout as a leader and did this empower others around them to succeed?
Do they have that unique ability to identify the opportunity before anyone else, or can they spot potential problems in advance and conceive effective solutions before those issues develop? How have they displayed a clear vision for the future that has helped their business achieve its goals and what is the transformative impact they have had on the industry?
With innovation at the core of the TV ecosystem DNA, it is crucial to acknowledge and honour the women and who have contributed to these advancements. We want to know about the women consistently delivering, inspiring and executing innovation. Evidence of innovative thinking or working, whether that is displaying an ability to move away from traditional thought patterns to help the company succeed to playing an influential role in the creation of a new product or concept.
