Speaker Bio
After working to help establish DAB Digital Radio in the UK, he and his business partner Gregory Watson created Folder Media, an audio incubator. Their company MuxCo, won and now operates a number of digital radio multiplexes and manages others for News UK and Nation Broadcasting. Their other business, Fun Kids, is a national children's radio station and podcast network - nominated as UK station of the year at the ARIAS for three years in a row.
Folder's also been involved in creating radio and podcasts for the UK's biggest broadcasters. Matt was an Executive Producer, and co-devised the Love Island podcast, The Morning After, for ITV – the most downloaded new podcast of that year. He was also an Executive Producer on Worst Dates for BBC Sounds and Nappy Days for MTV.
With Matt Hill, Matt created the British Podcast Awards and then expanded the organisation to include events for Ireland and Australia. They sold that business to Haymarket in 2022 before forming Podcast Discovery, a full-service podcast marketing agency with clients including Sky News, the Economist and BAFTA.
Matt also finds time to host The Media Club podcast and writes a newsletter about the audio sector.
